Rachel Schor’s Bat Mitzvah Gift to JDRF

in honor of Cousin Jordan Weiss

Thank you for making a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!

Jordan Weiss was my cousin.  When I was in first grade, he died suddenly of undiagnosed Type 1 diabetes.  He was only nine years old.

Even though it has been five years since then, we still think of Jordan every day.  We keep his pictures all over the house, we talk about him, light candles, say prayers, and laugh at all of the great times we had.  I miss him a lot and it means so much to me that you are making a donation in his name.

I appreciate your contribution to the research that will one day lead to a cure for this disease.

Also, please take some time to look at Jordan’s website to learn more about the warning signs for diabetes that everyone should know.
